This flood warning covers both the Victorian and New South Wales parts of the Murray River catchment upstream of Lake Hume.
Rainfall totals of up to 70 mm have been recorded since last night in the Murray River catchment upstream of Lake Hume. This has caused stream rises in the Murray River catchment upstream of Lake Hume. Rainfall will continue until this evening, with general totals of up to 10mm expected, with some isolated higher falls.
Areas of minor flooding are expected to develop in the Murray River catchment upstream of Lake Hume during this evening.
Upstream of Jingellic: Snowy Hydro advise that releases from Khancoban are expected to exceed 113 m3/s later today. This will lead to minor flooding downstream of Khancoban pondage.
The Murray River at Biggara is rising, and is expected to peak around the minor flood level (2.0 metres) late Sunday or early Monday.
The Murray River at Bringenbrong is expected to exceed the minor flood level (3,0 metres later Sunday or early Monday.
