SA Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Flash Flooding

For people in parts of the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North districts.

Issued at 1:25 pm Sunday, 7 March 2010.

A band of heavy showers and thunderstorms is moving in a southwesterly direction across the Mid North and northern Yorke Peninsula districts. These thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall and areas affected by multiple thunderstorms are likely to experience flash flooding. Locations which may be affected include Mallala, Maitland, Ardrossan and Port Wakefield.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
