SA Severe Weather Warning: Damaging Winds

For people in the Lower South East and parts of the Upper South East districts.

Issued at 1:02 pm Tuesday, 24 August 2010.

Localised damaging westerly wind squalls with gusts in excess of 90 km/h are likely in the warning area during this afternoon, mostly with fast-moving rain or hail showers. Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Meningie, Robe and Millicent.

A wind gust of 90 km/h was reported at Cape Borda earlier this afternoon.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
