Note: This Flood Watch is a "heads up" for possible future flooding and is NOT a
Flood Warning.

Synoptic Situation:
A deep low is expected to develop in the far northwest of the State this evening
and move southeast to be over the far southeast of the State Saturday morning.
An associated trough of low pressure will move through the Northeast Pastoral
during Friday and on Saturday morning.

Rainfall:
Forecast: Areas of rain with scattered thunderstorms with some heavy falls are
possible over the Northeast Pastoral and northern Flinders districts during
Friday, before contracting east and clearing by midday Saturday. Falls of 20-40
mm with local heavy falls of 40-80 mm are expected in this period.

Areas of rain with isolated thunderstorms are forecast to develop over the Mid
North and Mount Lofty Ranges on Friday, followed by scattered showers, more
frequent about the ranges, early Saturday morning. Falls of 20-40 mm with local
heavy falls of 40-80 mm are possible in this period.

Flood Risk:
There is potential for local flooding in the Northeast Pastoral, Flinders and
Mount Lofty Ranges and elevated areas of the Mid North on Friday and on
Saturday. People should monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings.
