VIC Major Flood Warning: Seven & Castle Creeks Catchment

Heavy rainfall is continuing in the Seven and Castle Creek catchments, with
rainfall rates of 5 to 10mm recorded during the last hour. This rainfall is
expected to continue for the remainder of Saturday morning.
This rainfall is leading to very rapid stream rises in the Seven and Castle
Creeks catchments.
Seven Creeks
Seven Creeks at Strathbogie is currently at 2.68 metres and rising rapidly. The
creek is expected to exceed the Major Flood Level (3.0 metres) in the next few
hours.
Seven Creeks at Galls Gap Rd is currently at 1.84 metres (Minor Flood Level
2.20 metres) and rising rapidly, and is expected to exceed the minor flood
level in the next few hours.
Castle Creek
Castle Creek at Telfords Bridge is currently at 1.45 metres (Minor Flood Level
1.2 metres) and rising rapidly. The creek is expected to exceed the moderate
flood level in the next few hours, and peak around the Major Flood Level (2.4
metres) later Saturday, depending on forecast rainfall.
Euroa
Seven Creeks at Euroa is currently at 2.76 metres (Minor Flood Level 2.5
metres) and rising rapidly. Initial indications are that the creek will peak
around the Major Flood Level (4.6 metres) early Sunday, depending on the amount
of rainfall that occurs for the remainder of Saturday.
