QLD Minor to Moderate Flood Warning: DUMARESQ AND LOWER MACINTYRE RIVERS

Issued at 11:06 AM on Sunday the 5th of September 2010
by the Bureau of Meteorology, Brisbane.

Upto 47mm of rain has been recorded in the Upper Dumaresq catchment in the past
24 hours leading to fast river level rises and some minor flooding. Fast level
rises with some minor to moderate flooding should be expected through this week
along the lower Dumaresq and lower Macintyre Rivers.

47mm of rain has been recorded in the Emmaville area in the past 24 hours
leading to fast rises along the Beardy River and along the Dumaresq River in the
Bonshaw area. These flows will reach the Macintyre River on Tuesday. Minor to
moderate flood levels are expected along the Lower Macintyre from Kildonan to
Goondiwindi on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Minor flooding is occurring along Quart Pot Creek in the Stanthorpe area.

Further rainfall totals of 5-10mm are expected during Sunday for the area.

Predicted River Heights/Flows:

Goondiwindi:- Reach at least 5 metres (minor flood level) on Tuesday.
