SA Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Damaging Winds

For people in the Northwest Pastoral and parts of the West Coast and Northeast Pastoral districts.

Issued at 7:44 pm Wednesday, 8 September 2010.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Marla, Coober Pedy, Roxby Downs, Oodnadatta, Marree and Woomera.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
