There is a bushfire at Wattle Hill.

The fire will put Wattle Hill and the residents specifically located within the junction of White Hill Road and Wiggins Road (including the areas or Wharmsbys Creek and Wiggins Creek) at high risk now.

The area between Forcett and Copping is not under imediate threat.

This fire will be difficult to control.

Burning embers, falling on Wattle Hill will threaten your home before the main fire.

Smoke and ash will make it difficult to see and breathe.

Current Reported Road Closures: There are no reported closed roads.

What to do:

If your home is well prepared for high risk fires and you can actively defend it, it should provide shelter.

If your home is unprepared go to a safer location now only if the path is clear.

If your family has made a bushfire survival plan, use it now.

If you don't live near Wattle Hill, stay away.
