This is a Watch and Act message issued by Country Fire Authority for Lake Rowan, St James, Bungeet, Bungeet West, Boweya North, Wilby, Thoona, Yeerip, Boweya, Mount Bruno, Taminick.

There is a medium sized 40 hectare grassfire travelling fast in an easterly direction from Howells Road towards Boweya and Bungeet, Mt Bruno and Yeerip districts.
This grassfire is currently not yet under control.
Smoke will be visible from Taminick, Glenrowan, and Winton

The fire could impact Boweya, Yeerip, Bungeet,Thoona and the Warbies any time between 7 PM and 9 PM.

Travel to;
- If you are able, travel to the home of family or friends that is away from the warning area.
-If you are not able to go to family or friends, go to the RCOW Relief Centre at the Barr Reserve, Schilling Drive in Wangaratta. This centre will be opening for people who need it.

When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see.
