Weather Situation
A fresh burst of hot, dry westerly winds will result in Severe fire dangers in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt.

Thunderstorms are possible in the far north of the Darling Downs and Granite Belt in the afternoon, bringing the risk of lightning as an ignition source for new fires. Further thunderstorms may produce gusty and erratic winds.
