Weather Situation: Severe thunderstorms are continuing over southern parts of the Wide Bay and Burnett district.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Kingaroy, Cherbourg, Wondai, Murgon and Nanango.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Southeast Coast district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

Forest Hill alert (south of Gatton) recorded 63mm in the hour to 10pm.

Mt Mowbullan alert (south of Yarraman) recorded 52mm in the hour to 10:10pm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
