Potential for severe thunderstorms across a broad area of southeast Queensland.

Weather Situation: A very moist and unstable airmass is interacting with a strong upper trough to promote thunderstorm activity this morning.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Warwick, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Caboolture, Coolangatta and Ipswich.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Wide Bay and Burnett district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

Maroon Dam recorded 39mm in 15 minutes to 3:15am.
Woodford recorded 66mm in 30 minutes to 3am.
Giant hail around 5 to 6cm was recorded just west of Inglewood around 12:10am.
Giant hail around 5cm was recorded at Windera around 7:30 - 8pm.
A 93 km/h wind gust was recorded at Dalby Airport.at 7:15 pm.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
