Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Coast and
Whitsundays, Central West, Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett
Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms continue in eastern Queensland.
Weather Situation: Thunderstorms are triggering to the east of a
trough and dry-line this afternoon. A humid easterly change moving
inland is expected to increase thunderstorm activity this evening
in central eastern parts of the state.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and
heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next
several hours in the Central Highlands and Coalfields and parts of
the North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Northern Goldfields and
Upper Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Coast and
Whitsundays, Central West, Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett
districts. Locations which may be affected include Emerald,
Clermont, Proserpine, Blackwater, Moranbah and Collinsville.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large
hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over
the next several hours in parts of the Central Highlands and
Coalfields, Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett districts.
Locations which may be affected include Biloela, Baralaba,
Woorabinda, Theodore and Moura.
A wind gust to 102km/h was recorded at Proserpine Airport at
2:10pm.
Saddler Springs recorded 61mm of rainfall in the 90 minutes to
1:00pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
