DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN THE SOUTHEAST EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING

Weather Situation: A vigorous cold front will move quickly eastwards across the southeast of the State early Wednesday morning.

Strong northwesterly winds reaching 45-55 km/h ahead of the front, turning west to southwesterly behind. Damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h, most likely with gusty showers or thunderstorms and over the higher ground of the southern Fleurieu Peninsula are forecast in the warning area during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Winds will begin to ease around sunrise.

Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Kingscote, Naracoorte, Victor Harbor, Meningie and Lucindale.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
