Weather Situation:

A low pressure system is developing southwest of Port Lincoln and will move to be south of Kangaroo Island during the early hours of Thursday morning, before moving off the southeast coast later in the day. Damaging winds averaging 50-70 km/h, with possible wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h are forecast in the warning area early Thursday morning. Winds are expected to ease around sunrise.

Locations which may be affected include Kingscote, Victor Harbor and Warooka.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
