North to northwesterly winds are strengthening ahead of a cold front expected to move over Kangaroo Island late this morning. Damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h are possible in showers and thunderstorms associated with this front.

A second cold front will approach the Lower Eyre Peninsula mid-afternoon with potentially damaging west to northwesterly winds reaching 45-65 km/h at times. Wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h are also possible mostly with showers and thunderstorms.
Locations which may be affected include Coffin Bay, Port Lincoln, Tumby Bay, Cape Borda and Kingscote.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
