Very windy change.
Weather Situation: A trough of low pressure is moving across the
far west of SA.
Damaging northerly winds, averaging 50-65 km/h with peak gusts
around 100 km/h, shifting westerly at similar speeds with the
trough are forecast in the warning area during the next several
hours. Very isolated thunderstorms may also produce gusts in excess
of 90 km/h.
Locations which may be affected include Ceduna, Maralinga, Oak
Valley, Cook, Nullarbor and the area around Emu Junction.
At 1.30 pm winds at Nullarbor were westerly at 65 km/h gusting to
83 km/h.
At 1.07 pm winds at Ceduna were north to northeasterly at 57 km/h
gusting to 85 km/h.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are
severe.
