Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Boonah, Beenleigh and Logan Village.
81mm was recorded in the 1 hour to 9.15pm at Loder Creek (west of Southport)
45mm was recorded in the 30 minutes to 9.40pm at Coombabah (to the NW of Southport)
79mm was recorded in the 1 hour to 10.10pm at Bonogin (on the Gold Coast HInterland)
44mm was recorded in the 30 minutes to 11.00pm at Luscombe (south of Beenleigh)
54mm was recorded in the 30 minutes to 11.30pm at Wolffdene (between Beenleigh and Jimboomba)

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
