INTENSE RAINFALL with a very dangerous thunderstorm south of
Ipswich.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 8:50 pm, very dangerous
thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Bundamba
Lagoon. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. Very
dangerous thunderstorms are forecast to affect Jimboomba by 9:20 pm
and Tamborine by 9:50 pm.
Intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening
flash flooding is likely.

Tenthill Alert recorded 27 mm in 15 minutes to 18:23
Grandchester Alert recorded 40 mm in 30 minutes to 19:15
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
