Tasmania Fire Service has issued a Bushfire Watch and Act for
Dolphin Sands - Not safe to return.
The fire at Dolphin Sands has been contained and firefighting
activities are continuing to suppress the fire and make safe.
It is not safe for residents or vehicles to enter the area while
emergency crews continue to work on the roadway. Fire investigation
and hazard-identification activities are underway, and access
remains dangerous.
If you have remained in Dolphin Sands, continue to monitor
conditions and be alert for any changes.
Tasmania Fire Service, Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service and
Sustainable Timber Tasmania is attending. Conditions are expected
to be changeable.
If you remained in Dolphin Sands, continue to monitor conditions

Be ready if the situation escalates. Read through your bushfire
plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the
situation gets worse.
Watch for signs of the fire re-igniting such as smoke and flames,
call Triple Zero (000) if you notice changes.
Be aware of potential dangers such as falling trees or property
damage.
If you have left the area, please do not return yet as it is not
safe to return.
The best option is to stay with family or friends. If you cannot
stay with friends or family, an Evacuation Centre is at Swansea
Town Hall - 12 FRANKLIN ST SWANSEA TAS 7190. Only travel if it is
safe for you to do so.
