For people in Eucla, Lower West, South West, South Coastal, South
East Coastal, Great Southern, Central Wheat Belt and parts of
Goldfields, Central West and Gascoyne districts.

Damaging winds forecast to continue, gradually easing from the
west tonight and through Thursday.
Weather Situation: Vigorous frontal activity along with gusty
showers and thunderstorms will continue across southern parts of
the state for the remainder of today and through Thursday.
Prolonged windy and hazardous conditions will ease from the west
later tonight and focus about the southeastern coast during
Thursday.
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS in excess of 90 km/h are possible over
southern WA. Winds are forecast to ease from the west later this
afternoon, contracting to southern parts of the South East Coastal
and Eucla forecast districts during Thursday morning.
DAMAGING WINDS averaging 65 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 100
km/h remain possible about exposed locations along the west coast
south of and including Perth until late afternoon.
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS may cause DAMAGE TO HOMES AND PROPERTY and are
more likely along the coast and nearby inland, becoming more
isolated further inland.
This weather system is expected to be windier and longer lasting
than a typical front and is likely to produce the kind of weather
that is only seen about once per year.

Locations which may be affected include Albany, Bunbury,
Busselton, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Katanning, Mandurah, Manjimup,
Margaret River, Merredin, Moora, Mount Barker, Narrogin, Norseman,
Northam and Perth.

Cape Naturaliste recorded a 115 km/h wind gust at 06:47 pm

Busselton Jetty recorded a 113 km/h wind gust at 11:50 pm
Monday.
Mandurah recorded a 109 k/h wind gust at 02:59 am Tuesday.
Gingin Airport recorded a 109 km/h wind gust at 02:11 am
Tuesday.
Shark Bay Airport recorded a 107 km/h wind gust at 04:20 pm
Monday.
Rottnest Island recorded a 107 km/h wind gust at 03:02 am
Tuesday.
Mount Howick recorded a 93 km/h wind gust at 09:05 am
Tuesday.
Jandakot Airport recorded a 93 km/h wind gust at 10:12 pm
Tuesday.
Perth Airport recorded a 91 km/h wind gust at 06:44am
Tuesday.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* If outside find safe shelter away from trees, power lines, storm
water drains and streams.
* Close your curtains and blinds, and stay inside away from
windows.
* Unplug electrical appliances and do not use land line telephones
if there is lightning.
* If boating, swimming or surfing leave the water.
* Be alert and watch for hazards on the road such as fallen power
lines and loose debris.
* Keep away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and
waterways.
* Be careful of fallen trees, damaged buildings and debris.
* Be careful of fallen power lines. They are dangerous and should
always be treated as live.
* Assess your home, car and property for damage.
* If damage has occurred take photos and contact your insurance
company to organise permanent repairs.
* If your home or property has significant damage, like a badly
damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.
