Invitation to Join the EW Working Group

The EW Working Group is made of councils, emergency authorities and organisations with public safety responsibilities.

Introduction
While the benefits of an effective early warning (EW) capability go without saying, the introduction of such involves a lot more than just technology. EW generates a raft of considerations for local authorities which range from procedures and legalities to operational issues and threat management assessment - who determines the threat, who alerts etc.

The EW Working Group is a simple way for emergency authorities, councils and those involved in public safety to actively evaluate and learn from an operational network. The working group provides the opportunity to share knowledge and contribute to the development of an EW system which benefits the community. This collaborative and open approach will help stake holder's progress to a solution that will meet their needs.

EWN realises there will be many councils, and emergency services who have great ideas and rather than us tell you what you need, we are providing the working model and a users forum so you can tell us what you need.

The price of this initiative is $100 a month. EWN is a highly innovative and sophisticated system, other countries using anything similar are charging tens of thousands per month. We believe the only way for this to work, to be deployed widely and genuinely save lives in a timely manner is to give it away FREE. We have been speaking to a large number of councils, many telling us that this is the time to act but at the same time funds are limited. Solutions similar to EWN have proved cost prohibitive for them. We have priced the EW Working Group subscription with this in mind, right now we need local council support to enable us to continue to break ground and provide an early warning service that is second to none.
