Slow moving thunderstorms producing heavy rain along the central
NSW coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 2:45 am, severe
thunderstorms likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to
flash flooding were detected near Gosford and Manly. These
thunderstorms are moving towards the north. They are forecast to
affect Terrey Hills, Gordon and Hurstville by 3:15 am and Mona
Vale, Wyong and Sydney Olympic Park by 3:45 am.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest
available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets
indoors as well.
