Large hail and damaging winds expected with severe thunderstorms.

Weather Situation: A trough of low pressure and a moist, humid airmass is triggering severe thunderstorms.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones and damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Fraser Island, Calliope and Mount Morgan.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Southeast Coast district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

10cm diameter hail was reported at McIntosh Creek earlier this afternoon.

Giant hail >=5cm was also observed at Maryborough.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
