Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts continue in the west of the state.

Weather Situation: A hot and unstable airmass is in place around a surface trough in the west of the state. Severe thunderstorms have developed ahead of the trough and are moving to the east and southeast and are likely to continue into early evening.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Tarcoola and the area around Emu Junction.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
