Damaging winds developing about southern coasts and elevated areas early on Tuesday morning.

Weather Situation: An upper trough will approach the state late Monday, bringing strong to damaging northwest to westerly winds on Tuesday morning. Winds are expected to ease later on Tuesday afternoon as the system moves eastwards.

DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of up to 100 km/h are expected to develop about the Mount Lofty ranges very early Tuesday morning and extend throughout the warning area around sunrise.

Winds are forecast to ease about the coasts and the South East early in the afternoon, easing throughout by early evening.

Locations which may be affected include Murray Bridge, Kingscote, Victor Harbor, Meningie, Jamestown and Burra.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
