MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON

A low pressure system and associated trough and cold front is expected to move
across Tasmania on Saturday, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms from overnight
Friday. This rainfall is expected to cause river level rises, with minor
flooding possible across the Flood Watch area from Saturday afternoon.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are wet and river levels are already
elevated following rainfall over the past few weeks.

Catchments likely to be affected include:

Mersey River

Meander River

Macquarie River

South Esk River

North Esk River

Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchment(s): Derwent
