MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE IN SEVERAL NORTH WEST, NORTH AND NORTH EAST CATCHMENTS FROM FRIDAY

A low pressure system is expected to bring rain to the North West, North and North East Catchments late Thursday into Friday.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet. River and stream levels are already elevated due to rainfall over recent weeks.

Rainfall totals of 20 to 30 mm are forecast over the North West, North and North East Catchments late Thursday into Friday, with highest falls possible about elevated locations.

Minor flooding is possible to develop in several North West, North and North East Catchments from Friday.

Catchments likely to be affected include:

North Esk River

South Esk River

Meander River

Macquarie River

Mersey River
