MINOR FLOODING IS LIKELY ACROSS PARTS OF THE NORTH WEST, NORTH AND NORTH EAST CATCHMENTS FROM FRIDAY EVENING
A rain band crossing the state today will bring moderate falls to parts of the north and west of the state, before largely clearing to the east by late Friday.
Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet. River and stream levels remain elevated due to recent rainfall.
Rainfall totals of 10 to 30 mm are forecast over the Flood Watch area, with higher totals of 50 mm possible over elevated locations.
Minor flooding is likely to develop across parts of the Flood Watch area from Friday evening.
Elevated river levels are occurring over parts of the North West and Central Coast Rivers. Renewed river level rises are expected during Friday and into the weekend.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
South Esk River
Macquarie River
Mersey River
Northwest and Central Coastal Rivers
Minor flood warnings are current for the following catchments: North Esk River, Meander River.
