Initial Flood Watch for parts of the North, North East and North West
catchments and the River Derwent

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM SATURDAY

A low pressure system and associated trough and cold front is expected to move
across Tasmania on Saturday, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms. This rainfall
is expected to cause river level rises, with minor flooding possible across the
Flood Watch area from Saturday.

Catchments are wet following recent rainfall and are likely to respond
relatively quickly to further rainfall.

Catchments likely to be affected include:

Derwent River

Mersey River

Meander River

Macquarie River

South Esk River

North Esk River
