Flood Watch Number: 2

MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING

A complex low pressure system continues to deepen off the NSW coast during Tuesday. This low is likely to bring widespread moderate rainfall across Gippsland from Tuesday into Wednesday. This rain may cause minor to moderate riverine flooding in Gippsland. The location and severity of the flooding is extremely dependent on the movement of the low and the areas of heaviest rainfall. The heaviest falls are likely to be in far east Gippsland.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet following recent rainfall.

River level rises and areas of minor to moderate flooding are possible across the Flood Watch area from Wednesday morning.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Bemm, Cann and Genoa Rivers

Snowy River

Tambo River

Mitchell River

Avon River

Macalister River

Thomson River

Latrobe River

Traralgon Creek
