A bushfire WATCH AND ACT is in place for people on or near Emma Gorge walk trail and Emma Gorge Resort on Gibb River Road in the northern part of DURACK in the SHIRE OF WYNDHAM-EAST KIMBERLEY.

There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing.
Fire is burning in the cockburn ranges adjacent to Emma Gorge.
WHAT TO DO
DFES are working with the resort management.
People are asked to avoid the area if possible and take direction from resort management.
Be extremely careful when driving through the area.
Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.
Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.
