FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE NORTHERN KIMBERLEY REGION FROM FRIDAY

Tropical low 16U is forecast to move into the Northern Kimberley region from later Friday into the weekend bringing widespread rainfall, with possible heavy falls across parts of the Flood Watch area.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are moderately wet along the coastal regions due to some recent rainfall and are relatively drier inland.

Rainfall totals of 160mm with isolated totals of 200mm are forecast across the Flood Watch area from Friday into Saturday.

With forecast rainfall, river and creek level rises are expected across the Flood Watch area from Friday. Some communities and homesteads may become isolated. Hazardous road conditions are expected, check road conditions before travelling.
