Severe thunderstorms continuing over the west of South Australia this evening.

Weather Situation: A warm and unstable airmass combines with a low-pressure system and associated trough of low-pressure to trigger high-based thunderstorms over the west of the state this evening.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones over the next several hours in parts of the West Coast district. Locations which may be affected include Ceduna.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds over the next several hours in parts of the North West Pastoral and West Coast districts. Locations which may be affected include Ernabella, Amata, Maralinga, Oak Valley and the area around Emu Junction.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
